Just some rambling IWTV season 2 flashback to the dreadful ep of Lestat throwing Louis from the sky...

In the trial episode, when there was a flashback to what happened that night with Louis and Lestat...well...from what we know now, they beat each other. And when Louis just smashed Lestat's face on their coffin so hard, they fell to the opposite sides, I laughed so fucking hard. Like WTF 💀💀 I was actually reluctant to watching any flashback to that episode but I am glad that they didn't make it what I thought they did back then. Anyways, back at them vampire boyfriends having a meltdown while they give zero fucks about their terrified, traumatized daughter, I calmed down a bit,, it's getting serious...

Then Louis tried to get up, looked at Lestat's face, and started laughing while saying "look at your fucking face". Cut to Lestat's face--bruh I was laughing like a psychopath at the man's bloody face 😂😂 coz he did look fucking horrible like a bloody clown, mouth half open! Eyes all like this: 🩸👁️👄👁️🩸

This is extra weird to me when I think about how the same event but in season 1, from Claudia's POV was so fucking horrifying and triggering to me. I almost wanted to shut the show down. Oh lord, I feel like I just enjoy seeing Lestat get beat up sometimes. That's ok. He deserves some beating. Louis gotta put a leash on him with how fucking feral he gets.

One thing tho, this was also Louis's retellings, right? In season 1. So, why did he say the story in such a way that it looked like, Lestat was just beating the shit out of him. Louis wouldn't lie just to make Lestat look worse than he already is. I don't get it coz, regardless of whether Louis did beat Lestat back or not, what Lestat did after that, by dropping Louis from sky high...that reaction from Lestat was already horrible enough on its own. Nowhere near a proportional reaction to what Louis did or said to him. So, Louis just...wanted to keep Daniel in suspense or what LOL Or was that scene from s1 supposed to be from Claudia's diary POV? I don't remember now if it was flashback to Daniel reading the diary. And I don't wanna watch that episode again. Might be that it's simply the show keeping us on our toes. If so then idk what to feel about the show doing that. I also don't think Lestat's face looked as bloody in s1 during this happening. Probably a continuity error. Or...a memory manipulation by Armand? Louis didn't at all notice the different retellings of the same night tho, neither did Daniel. Or maybe Lestat did have a bloody face.

Introducing the memory manipulation and memory erasing power gives some new meanings to previous events. Definitely, makes things more interesting. I do hope the seasons ahead are just as good as season 2 was. Even new powers. Show us Magnus and Akasha too. Armand looked shooketh when Lestat almost whisper-said the name 👀

I know that Akasha has a movie called Queen of the Damned. She looks...majestic. The Lestat beside her tho, looks like budget Edward Cullen. The movie has low ratings too. Idk if I should watch it and potentially spoil the future seasons. Or just wait for the next season and then watch it. I have seen a little bit of this film tho, on television. She just sauntered down vaguely in a disco. Hard to forget her, in that sexy attire and just fucking amazing look over all. Hot af

I already know some minor spoilers about Lestat. Well, one spoiler. That Lestat had...Alabama mommy issues 😭😭 what is this wrong with this French dude. Louis and Claudia really got paired with the most unhinged vampire...

I'M LOVING THIS SEASON OF IWTV SO MUCH OMG! There's so much mystery and I have so many question (which in my opinion is the best).

Somehow I just noticed in the last episode that Louis never told Lestat he loves him. Like. It's so crazy bc ofcourse he loves him! But also wow that's so fucking cruel. They're together for 30 years and he didn't say 'I love you' once. It made think a lot about how there's a difference between knowing/feeling you're loved and being told 'I love you'. It made me view THAT (cloud gift) scene in a completely different way. I'm not saying I'm okay with Lestat's actions but I definitely understand how much that must hurt.

And yes the new Claudia is SOOOOO good. I have to admit I don't care about her storyline as much tho. I kinda miss her love/hate relationship with Lestat.

What do you think about Louis and Armand btw? It was okay at first but the more we see them together, the weirder I feel. Also Jacob called it a 'rebound that lasted 70/80 years' which is so fucking funny lol.

I cannot wait to see Lestat (the real one, not dreamstat) again. He just... has a way about him. And I miss it.

Also, I agree! I'd even go so far as to say that maybe Louis never said ily to Lestat because his feelings were stronger and therefore they scared him more.

I hate Armand so much and I don't trust that lil bitch for one second. I REALLY need to know what actually happened between him and Lestat. I've not read the books so I have no idea what's going to happen.

The only real MVP in the story is Daniel omg. He's somehow the only one with the brain cell around here.

I just finished the 4th ep and so far it's really good. I don't know where we are going and can't wait for Lestant to come back and fuck some shit up.

My fave scene was the flashback with Lestat and Armand. Lestat was like "fuck your rules and fuck you" lol and he was just minding his own business and being a theatre gay and this dude fucked it all up???? ALSO I LOVE SAM REID'S ACTING WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE IS NOT FRENCH I AM SHOOKETH.

The Textbooks • Louis Partridge

“Mia can you please get the chemistry textbooks from upstairs” Miss Smith says, pulling me out of my day dream.

“Sure” I answer getting up. I walk out and start making my way upstairs, relieved that I could finally leave for a bit. That lessons so boring.

I knock on the door of the class room and stand there awkwardly until the teacher pays attention to me. “Yes?” The teacher says

“Umm…can I please borrow the chemistry textbooks” why was I sent, I’m too awkward for this.

At this point everyone in the class was looking at me. They was all in my year, so that made it ten times worse. “Of course lovely, they’re at the back behind Hannah”

I nod and walk to the back of the class “ Hi Hannah” she gives a small wave and goes back to paying attention to the teacher (don’t hate on Hannah, she’s just trying to learn.)

I try picking up the books but they’re really heavy “Ummm…Miss?” I say awkwardly.

Suddenly all eyes are on me once more. “Yes my lovely one” ew

“Can someone help me please? The books are too heavy” 😬

“Of course. Louis can you help her please.” Oh god. Not Louis.

“Yes miss” he says unenthusiastically. I hear some of his friends snigger, so I pick up some books and walk out the class room with Louis hot on my heals.

I may have implied that I don’t like Louis. Unfortunately, it’s the complete opposite. I really like Louis and I’m pretty sure he knows.

We walk down the stairs in silence. I look at him “So…how have u been” I strike up a conversation. (Jesus Christ what’s wrong with me)

He looks back at me and gives me a funny look “Ummmm…I’ve been fine”

We continue walking, but before we get to my class he stops me and says “Why”

“Why what” I reply. Wtf did I do now.

“Why do you play with my feelings”

Play with his feelings? Say what.

Honestly I try not to talk to him, he doesn’t like me anyway. “I’ve basically never said more than a sentence to you. What makes you think I’m playing with your feelings?”

“All of your friends and mine keep saying you like me, but I see the looks of disgust you give me when you see me in the corridors. Those are definitely not the looks of liking someone” those looks he’s talking about, are the looks I give when I’m trying to make it seem like I don’t like someone. To hide my true feelings.

“I…I don’t mean to…it’s to hide my feelings. Cause the truth is…I like you a lot, I know it sounds stupid but it’s true.” I continue rambling, not even I understand or remember half the things I’m saying.

He stops me and lift my chin “Well as it turns out I like you too” (anyone get the reference? 😏)

“You do?” I look at him in shock. (I am shooketh)

“Yes I do. Now let’s take these books down before someone comes looking for you. We’ll talk later.”

I am still shooketh but follow him silently.

“Sorry it took a us so long Miss” he says as he walks into the room (ie my chemistry class) “we had some trouble getting these, but they’re here now.”

I walk in behind him and set the books down with a sheepish expression on my face.

“That’s alright, it hasn’t been that long” my teacher says to him “and Thank you for your help, you may go back to class now.”

“No problem miss” he replies as he start to head towards the door “I’ll talk to you later” he whispers.

I nod and head to my sit. I can feel my cheeks burning. Wtf has just happened.

it's really just that they're mad that louis told the truth. for some harries they don't give a crap about the solo career which they love, or that he lied which "i would do the same thing too" and they love, for them what it comes down to is being mad that louis told the truth about things, and that harry never does.

when louis said what he did, it caused a reaction among harries who tried to sort of get together and retell a version of events that made louis look like the liar. they don't care about harry having lied or about the sequence of events, they just want to portray louis as being the one who we shouldn't believe because they know it reflects badly on harry to some degree, so they want to pretend there's something about what he said that was a lie, and cling to that instead.

Sam is amazing, but I think I would give it to Jacob, because I feel like this is Louis's story, and Jacob is the lead actor. If we get to season 3, then we will probably get Lestat's story, and Sam will be the lead. As you said though, they could give it to both. Jam Reiderson FTW! lol

NGL, for me, it's between Jacob and Matt, then Sam, Harvey, then Evan (I haven't seen Evil). Like, Sam's Lestat is amazing, but that's to be expected--be sexy and charming and evil--the Devil himself. 😈 Anne Rice's Lestat and RL examples like Dahmer patented that villain formula decades ago, giving rise to Hannibal Lecter.

What I wasn't expecting was for Louis de Pointe Du Lac, of all people, the driest blandest VC character in the books AND movie, to blow my freaking socks off on the tv show. 🤯 I only knew JA as Grey Worm from GoT, and I have been sitting here in shock. I knew whoever they got to play Lestat was gonna HAVE to be at least interesting, if even Tom Cruise could pull it off. (Stuart Townsend wasn't that bad y'all, the hair was just wrong.) But who knew Jacob Anderson was gonna march on set and smack the tastebuds out of everyone, including Anne Rice!? Brad Pitt WHOMST? Jacob has both elevated and redefined a decades-old vampire icon.

So, as much as I love SamStat, Louis has my heart. Also, I'd be surprised if Sam Reid won this award when Matt Berry's sitting right there. 👀 Guillermo's a great lead/narrator, but Laszlo consistently outshines everyone on the show, season after season. Laszlo's my rotten soldier, my good time boy! TBH I would enjoy WWDITS way less without Laszlo.

And that's another reason I'd give the award to Jacob, because Louis is a fantastic lead/narrator, and I need him around forever. Even when Lestat was nowhere to be found, I was still captivated by Louis, and Jacob's performance. If the show was just Louis raising Claudia, or Louis talking with Daniel, I'd be just fine! S2 can't come fast enough! Yes, I'm looking forward to S3 so we can get Sam as the main character in The Vampire Lestat, but look at everyone's concern over whether Louis will still be there or not, even though TVL takes place 100+ years before Louis' even born! 😅 Louis/Jacob really is vampire catnip!

For example a playlist of mine can be 50% DMAs songs and spotify will still play ANYTHING BUT them, my god that app is full on "suddenly I can't read" about that band, or I have one playlist that's like 3 hours of music with about 5 Harry songs on it and it will play at least 4 of those within the first 20 min if I put it on shuffle. It's so fucking annoying, just SHUFFLE!! BUT ANYWAY. My point is I have some news, my friends: Faith In The Future has been given a BUMP this week suddenly, it's like Harry level shuffle dominance. AOTV promo push I'd imagine! Pretty cool, and I assume this translates into other things too such as reccing the album to people and stuff.
